At a glance

  • Wide variety of accommodation and great range of après options along the main Carretera General.
  • Free kids' lift pass deals and one of the best English-speaking ski schools in Europe.
  • Brilliant beginner slopes near the village and wide, tree-lined runs for intermediates over in the Pal Valley.

Arinsal’s the main resort in the Pal-Arinsal ski area. The local slopes are excellent for beginners – and the ski school’s great too – and intermediates can catch the cable car over to the Pal side of the mountain to cruise tree-lined blues and reds.

The village is lively and has a huge range of accommodation, from simple, self-catering apartments to 5-star hotels with all the bells and whistles. There’s a pretty big après scene, with great-value bars and lots of live music, so you can celebrate the end of each ski day in style.

There are lots of other winter activities to do as well. Families will love the Hotel Princesa Parc, which has its own arcade and bowling alley. And you can also whizz around on a snowmobile or snow bike, or strap on some snowshoes and set off on foot. If you’ve a free afternoon, catch a bus to the capital city, Andorra La Vella to explore the shops and luxurious Caldea Spa.
