Holiday Information

Nestled deep in the verdant Ledro valley and on the shores of the lake sits the the quaint and comfortable Hotel Lido. This family run and informal property gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding countryside with cycle paths, walking routes and of course the crystalline waters of Ledro itself just outside your door.

Hotel Lido
Hotel Lido

The eclectic mix of Austrian and Italian design is typical of this region and takes influence from the spectacular scenery only obtainable in the North West of the lake. Behind you sit the impressive mountains, perfect for any advanced walkers or climbers and before you lays the peaceful waters of Lake Ledro, ideal for swimming, sailing and even the odd spot of fishing in certain corners.

Hotel Lido boasts a private beach promenade for its guests, sheltered by firs and fruit trees to give you sense of seclusion in an already peaceful setting. Indoors, a large salt water pool can be found on the ground floor which is perfect if you're not feeling brave enough to test the sometimes less than tepid waters of Lake Ledro!

Rooms at the Hotel Lido are comfortable and simplistic yet charming. A testament to the medley of culture in this region, Ladin, Italian and Austrian influence can be spotted in each room with tones of royal blue, deep golds, rich mahogany and brighter, airy tones of cream and grey. Priding themselves on creating a cosy and homely space for their guests, the Hotel Lido has a plethora of room types, many with balcony and either lake or mountain view.

A rich and diverse breakfast is served each morning in the dining room with choices of freshly baked pastries and breads, locally produced jams and cold meats and cheeses to start your day. If you plan on a day of rambling or exploring other resorts such as Lake Garda's Riva which is a mere 30 minute bus ride away then a packed lunch can be prepared for you and when you return for the afternoon glorious freshly baked cakes as well as coffee and tea will be served in the dining room. Dinner is served outside in the warmer months with tables overlooking the lake or indoors in the vast dining room if you prefer. Three courses of local cuisine are created by the chefs with fresh menus each day including antipasti platters, sumtuous ragus and a dessert selection that commands you leave room!

To build an appetite during the day, there is no shortage of activities to do or sights to see. From the resort of Riva on the northern shores of Lake Garda just half an hour away or the quaint village of Pieve di Ledo just a short walk from the hotel which is home to museums, ancient churches as a number of cafes and restaurants offering exceptional local food (be sure to look out for the gelato bar!). A bus service also runs from the village for those looking to travel further afield and weekly as well as daily tickets can be purchased allowing you to explore the woodlands, mountain trails and meadows of this simply stunning region at your own pace.

Lake Ledro

Lake Ledro nestles high in the mountains above Lake Garda and is well known to many British guests who have been there on excursions from Lake Garda. Now we are pleased to include it as a resort in its own right.

The lake is rated as one of the cleanest in Europe and is usually pleasantly warm for a summer swim from one of the four beaches. It’s ideal for walkers and nature lovers with a range of trails through the woods that surround the lake.

For a change, there’s also a regular bus service to Lake Garda. The village of Pieve is located on the north-western shore. The resort has a characteristic historical centre, a large lakeside beach and is an attractive strategic base from which to explore or equally to unwind amidst scenic surroundings.

The old Ponale Road to Riva is a famous, breathtakingly panoramic downhill walk, and not to be missed - our Representative will be pleased to take you - see Inghams Guided Walks.

Popular walks include:

Val Concei - 3 hrs - Easy
