These self-catering studios have been awarded a Gold Medal award every year since 1996. And it’s easy to see why – their laid-back pool scene and home-cooked meals are second to none.
You’ll find the complex among peaceful olive groves about a 15-minute walk from the centre of Alykes. It’s the same distance to the beach, and there’s also a mini-market 5 minutes down the road.
The pool is a good size, set in the middle of a smart, tiled sun terrace. It comes with an open-sided bar for drinks and snacks.
FOOD & DRINK
The poolside bar serves a superb selection of home-cooked Greek and English dishes, from bacon and eggs in the morning to local treats like stuffed vine leaves later on. Plus there’s a weekly barbecue with Greek dancing.
Studios are decorated in cream and terracotta with ceramic flooring. With either twin beds or a double bed, these studios sleep just 2. They come with a kitchenette, a shower in the bathroom and neat little balcony, too.
