Taking breakfast, lunch or dinner in a  renovated stone country house, built in 1896, is one of the many delights of a holiday at the Paxos Club Resort, Paxos.

The traditional home of the owner's ancestors has been converted into a high-beamed, a la carte restaurant, next to the swimming pool and specialises in sumptuous Greek and international cuisine. The resort also has a pool bar serving snacks, waffles, ice cream, cocktails and locally-produced wine.

An ideal choice for guests who prefer the elegance of an age gone by, and those keen to discover the architectural and natural beauty of a unique island, the four-star resort is close to the capital, Gaios, and the harbour with easy access to the main sights and attractions.

A small, family-owned business, promising warm hospitality with modern comforts, the Paxos Club, built in 1994 and renovated in 2007, has a salt-water swimming pool, children’s pool and playground, and a spa centre including a Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, massage room and full body and face treatments.

The bright, airy, comfortable rooms have beds with anatomic mattresses, air-conditioning, cable TV, telephone, free wifi, fridge, bathroom with shower and furnished terraces. Parking and a free shuttle service are available.

Olympic Holidays' guests love this Ionian island which is regarded as one of Greece’s most picturesque, with 300,000 olive trees and unrivalled beaches, including the natural port and popular diving centre of Lakka, in the north, pebbled Marmari, and Levrechio, which is especially good for snorkelling.
