The set-up of Amygdalia Cottage is traditional Greek – think whitewashed walls, a wrought-iron double bed and exposed stone walls. Amygdalia Cottage might be in a quiet spot, but it’s still only a ten-minute drive away from Kaki Lagada Beach and Gaios, the main town in Paxos.
The L-shaped pool and paved patio with cream and timber deckchairs are made for lazy afternoons. If the beach is more your scene, a ten-minute car trip will take you to pine-lined Kaki Lagada.
The kitchen has all the basics covered, including a hob and fridge. The outdoor barbecue, meanwhile, is perfect for sunset al fresco meals. For groceries or a taverna meal, Magazia is less than ten minutes away by car. It’s a tiny hamlet, so there’s little more than a bakery, general shop and a café.
