Nissi Bay Holidays
A holiday to Nissi Bay is an option at any time of year and many opt to visit out of season to make the most of the cooler weather for walking. The summer months are busier as they deliver fantastic temperatures for those wanting a sun-kissed beach holiday.
Who is Nissi Bay suitable for?
Ayia Napa is easily accessed from Nissi Bay so many choose to base themselves in the quieter Bay area and travel to Ayia Napa as they please. It's a perfect all-round choice for groups, couples and families thanks to its range of attractions and bustling, but not hectic, atmosphere.
That's not to say a Nissi Bay holiday is simply Ayia Napa's sleepier neighbour. It's definitely a resort in its own right and as well as its fantastic beach you'll also find great restaurants and shopping.
What are the beaches like in Nissi Bay?
'Nissi' is the Greek for 'small island' and you'll find this offshore Nissi lining the main Nissi Beach. The island helps to shelter the beach from wind, providing it with perfect conditions for gentle swimming as well as numerous water sports.
The undeveloped Konnos Bay is also a popular choice. Quieter than Nissi Beach it is made up of small coves and offers holidaymakers a more secluded option with plenty of picturesque scenery.
Eating out in Nissi Bay
Nissi Bay holidays have a variety of dining options with most tastes and budgets covered. Take your pick from traditional delicacies including local seafood and Cypriot meze or opt for the more international fare available. Again if you want more choice then a trip to Ayia Napa will provide you with endless Chinese, Indian, Italian and British menus.
