Castelletto is managed by a friendly Croatian couple who believe it’s the little things that make a big difference. They and their staff go the extra mile to ensure every guest feels special.
Perched on a hill above Cavtat harbour, Castelletto was built in the early 1980s but had a major facelift in 2004. Inside, it’s smart and modern, with rooms done up in creams and whites.
Mosaics wrap around the petite splash pool, which sidles up to a terrace topped with tables and chairs.
A five to ten-minute walk takes you down to the harbour, and it’s just a few minutes more to the pebble beach. You can also catch a bus down to the beach from a stop close by.
FOOD & DRINK
Breakfast is served buffet style, and you can eat outside in the garden or by the small pool. There are always plenty of cereals, fruit and cold meats, and usually boiled or scrambled eggs, too.
Welcome drinks are often served, impromptu wine tastings* are sometimes hosted, and the friendly owners like to mark their guests’ special occasions.
The lounge is home to a TV and bookshelf. The room is cosily decorated with pine furniture and contemporary artwork.
The rooms here are all provided with your basic holiday requirements - there's a fridge, hairdryer, TV, free Wi-Fi, a balcony and air-conditioning - plus you can borrow a kettle at reception if required.
