SMUGGLERS COVE RESORT DESCRIPTION:

Set in a private secluded bay amid extensive tropical gardens, this fun, active and friendly All Inclusive village-style resort offers great service, a new spa, weekly beach barbecues and a fantastic range of sports and activities.

LOCATION • In 60-acre tropical gardens on Cap Estate, on the northwest coast. Approx. 1½ hours from the international airport.

FEATURES • There are a choice of seven pools and a 100-foot waterslide and two adults only pools, tennis academy, squash, golf, archery, hiking trails, fitness centre and the new Samsarati Spa (extra cost). There is also a fabulous range of watersports including snorkelling, waterskiing, windsurfing, hobie cat sailing and kayaking. The kids' clubs cater for all ages from babies to teenagers and offer fun and educational activities. Dining options range from an informal buffet and weekly beach barbecues to gourmet restaurants offering seafood, Pan-Asian, Italian and Creole/Caribbean delicacies. Relax at one of the five bars, including a swim-up bar and the sophisticated beachfront 'Waves' cocktail bar, and enjoy evening entertainment such as live music and shows and occasional karaoke evenings.

ACCOMMODATION • 357 recently refurbished rooms and suites are located in single storey buildings dotted around tropical gardens or overlooking the bay. Each has air-conditioning, television, bath, shower and terrace. Standard rooms are as above with garden views. Deluxe gardenview rooms are slightly larger. Superior deluxe gardenview rooms are set on a hillside and have a sofabed. One bedroom garden suites have an air-conditioned bedroom and a living room with ceiling fan. Superior deluxe beachfront rooms, for adults only, are spacious and are set nearer the beach with sea view or atop a hillside.
