Holiday Information

San Lucianu Beach Resort is situated on the ruggedly beautiful east coast of Corsica, the hotel is within gorgeous gardens that lead down to a lovely stretch of sandy beach, with soaring mountains and eucalyptus groves as a backdrop.

The ancient Greeks called Corsica the ‘Island of Beauty’ - and with good reason. Stunning cliffs, turquoise waters and breathtaking scenery capture the essence of the island beautifully.

This homely but sociable resort is a favourite with families and water sports enthusiasts. There’s a huge amount on offer from sailing, windsurfing, tennis and road cycling to simply taking to your sun lounger beside the pool or on the beach.

This resort has a village vibe and excellent facilities. Families, friends and couples will love it and you can't beat the evening sunsets.

Location

Close by is the picturesque old port town of Bastia, with it's fine Baroque churches and elegantly crumbling houses. If you fancy exploring, there's wonderful walking to be had in the mountains, with a chain of waterfalls to visit either on foot or as part of the tour operator's guided mountain bike tours.

Watersports Overview

You can't beat the top-notch watersports centre at San Lucianu. Combine excellent conditons, an expansive sailing area with a team of exceptional, qualified instructors and a vast amount of sailing and windsurfing courses and clinics to keep you entertained out on the water.

Explore the local coastline on a kayak or SUP board or hang out under the water with our PADI dive team who will show you the best dive sites around the island.

Sailing

Take to the water in one of the dinghy boats. Choose from singlehanders to multihulls. If this sounds like another language then let one of the qualified instructors introduce you to the exhilirating world of dinghy sailing.

There is an array of courses and lessons from free introduction to sailing lessons to RYA qualifications.

Please Note: The waterfront is open 6 days a week from 9am to 5.30pm and is closed over lunch in off-peak season.

Windsurfing

This all-round resort is great for windsurfers, especially intermediates. Beginners will excel in the light morning winds and can practice their balance and control while intermediate windsurfers take to the waters in the afternoons as the winds pick up for some great blasting across the bay.

The team of qualified instructors provide group or private tuition.

Other Activities Overview

Take a free guided tour on a mountain or road bike with an experienced guide up into the hills for exhilarating descents or for something a little more relaxing try a morning yoga class at the beach cabana.

There are an array of activities on offer for everyone.

Tennis

With its stunning mountain backdrop and a lovely sea breeze, there are not many better places to enjoy a game of tennis.

San Lucianu has three hard painted tennis courts available at no extra charge for your enjoyment. Top of the range HEAD racquets and balls are also available for your use, free of charge. Coaching is available at an extra charge.

Road Cycling

A fleet of hybrid bikes will be available at San Lucianu this summer and the expert guides will lead you through the best trails on the island. Plus all of the tours are designed to fit in with childcare opening hours so you can be back in time to collect the little ones.

Please note: The activities run 6 days a week in off-peak season and in peak season.

Dining

Breakfast is served on the restaurant terrace with its views of the gardens below. Enjoy a selection of pastries with your morning coffee or give yourself a healthy start to the day with some of the mouth-wateringly fresh local fruit and yoghurts & there’s also a cooked breakfast.

At lunch the restaurant serves a delicious array of dishes from its fresh pasta and pizza station, hot buffet with a variety of local fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, and locally sourced salad bar.

In the evenings, enjoy dining on the terrace with its gentle sea breeze. There are plenty of local specialities to tempt you from the buffet and grill and on a few evenings, there's an à la carte menu.

Dining at this hotel is on a full board basis and includes wine with lunch and dinner.

All Inclusive Option

Alternatively you can now upgrade to 'All Inclusive'. This newly introduced board basis at San Lucianu will include soft drinks and ice cream plus beers, wine, spirits and cocktails for the adults.

The all-inclusive supplement costs £120 per adult and £65 per child per week.

Bars

Lounge Bar
This sociable bar tucked into the lounge with its comfy sofas offers refreshing beverages over lunch and from early evening. A flat screen TV is available for special events and selected sports.

Beach Bar
San Lucianu has a fantastic beach bar on the edge of its rolling lawns. Sit with a cocktail in hand and watch the kids playing on the beach or the daily volley ball match unfold.

Join them for their evening entertainments from pub quizzes to challenging the staff. The beach bar also sells crisps, chocolate and ice-cream.

Accommodation

Set amongst landscaped gardens with heavenly-scented eucalyptus groves and lush green lawns the hotel has 95 rooms, 50 of which have been recently refurbished and are of a superior standard.

There are a variety of room types to suit everyone's needs including twins with varying views and facilities plus most can accommodate an extra child’s bed. For families looking for more space our interconnecting rooms and family suites work perfectly and have views towards the sea.

Spectacular views
Rooms are light and airy, decorated with vibrant colours and are of a good size. Choose between sea or mountain views, both are quite spectacular. Recently refurbished superior rooms offer slightly more room features.

Twin (ground floor)
Found on the ground floor of this hotel these guest rooms are simply decorated and have two single beds and either an en-suite bath or 'wet' shower room. These guest rooms have a window and a LCD television.

These original guest rooms are are found on the first, second and third floors with the majority having views towards the mountains.

They are spacious and simply furnished with two single beds, a private balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows. They have an en-suite bathroom with a separate WC.

Superior Twin
Beautifully refurbished in a contemporary style with rich warm tones these guest rooms has two single beds, a private balcony with views towards the sea and floor-to-ceiling windows. With a modern en-suite shower room, additional touches include a mini-fridge and a LCD television.

San Lucianu Beach Resort in Corsica is an ideal family holiday destination with a short flight time of 2 hours from Heathrow and just a 30-minute transfer from Bastia airport.

This family friendly resort has a large air-conditioned childcare centre that is home to our enthusiastic childcare team.

The Kidz Club have their own surf shack on the beach, where they meet daily, and from where they can dip in and out of a whole host of fun and games. While the Indy Club is a laid-back affair enticing teenagers to enjoy the daily resort activities, the local surrounding area and evening socials.

Baby Club for 4-11 months and 1 year old Toddler Club is also available at a charge - 6 mornings or afternoons £180 per week, 6 full days at £360 per week. (Children's clubs run 9am-12.00 and 2.30-5.30pm)

At San Lucianu baby club only operates outside of the school holidays.
