Your Accommodation

This hotel comprises of several 2 and 3 storey buildings and has 72 rooms which are situated around the inviting swimming pools and gardens.

The rooms are simply furnished, bright and spacious with twin beds, a private shower and wc, ceiling fans and a balcony or patio with a table and chairs. There is a 13-amp power point and a safe, for which a small charge is made. All overlook the gardens or swimming pool areas. Please note that there are no lifts.

Wining and Dining

The cool and airy restaurant is built in traditional Makuti style with a thatched roof creating a distinct character and ambience. A buffet style continental breakfast is included in the price. Should you so wish our chef will prepare for you a choice of fried eggs or omlettes for a small extra charge.

If you so wish you can choose to upgrade to Half Board Basis before you depart the UK, or alternatively you can pay for lunch and dinner locally. Varied hot and cold dishes are served at lunch and dinner which are buffet style.

Drinks and snacks can be purchased at the cafeteria throughout the day and until early evening.

Facilities and Entertainment

There are two swimming pools with large sun bathing terraces, one has a sunken pool bar, and being situated on Shanzu Beach with its 1.5km long stretch of white sand, swimming opportunities are unlimited.

Our friendly and outgoing staff will organise impromptu games such as water polo, aqua aerobics, football and volleyball matches which all add to the fun. Tennis and table tennis are also available, for a small charge.

For the less energetic you can simply relax around the pool on a sun bed. Please note that pool towels are not provided.

There are three bars; the Pool Bar, the Paradise Bar (beachside) and the main bar. On most evenings there will be entertainment which may include open air discos, parties, karoke, bingo and live bands.

An evening shuttle bus operates between our hotels on Shanzu Beach and taxis can be arranged day or night for a small charge.

Excursions

A programme of exciting optional daytime and evening excursions is available during your stay at the Paradise Beach Hotels. Prices of excursions start from just £13 per person and are only bookable locally. Further details can be found in our Important Holiday Information Booklet which will be sent with your Confirmation Invoice. Deep sea fishing trips can also be arranged locally.

Watersports

If watersports are your passion or you would like to give them a try, there's dinghy sailing, windsurfing, snorkelling and more, available at the independent Watersports Centre, adjacent to the Shanzu-Paradise Beach Hotel.

Diving Holidays

Kenya offers some of the best diving in the world with a coral reef that extends almost the entire length of the coast with a wide variety of marine flora and fauna. Diving is available offering excellent facilities for both the beginner and more experienced diver. PADI courses are available throughout the year. These are only bookable locally.
