Kitzbühel

Lively and sophisticated with a special ambience

This famous little Tyrolean town with its vibrantly coloured old buildings, cobbled streets, and medieval walled town dating back to the 16th century, is a fascinating place to explore. It is a hub of activity in the summer with a friendly village feel and is filled with pavement cafés, designer boutiques and various local festivals, concerts and open-air events.

Set in a broad valley basin between the ‘Kitzbühler Alps’ and the ‘Wilder Kaiser’ mountains, it is a fantastic area for walking with over 1000km of marked trails, and a centre for E-Bike (electric) routes because of its scenic flat valley paths.

Beautiful Lake Schwarzsee also offers swimming, sunbathing and rowing boats in a natural woodland setting, and its central location between Innsbruck and Salzburg makes it an excellent base for excursions and exploring the Tyrol. A full programme of events is run by your tour operator rep.

Walkers' Lift Pass

£78 - 3 in 7 Days, £97 - 6 in 14 Days

The pre-bookable Kitzbühel Flex Hiking pass is recommended. In addition to giving access to free use of four cable-cars and three chair lifts it also covers the use of local buses plus numerous leisure activities such as guided walks, discounts on museum admissions, indoor pools, bathing lakes, the Aurach deer park and much more. This pass is available all season, but please note that some lifts open in high season only (from 16 June).
