Location

The Elisabeth has an enviable location in the resort, tucked back from the main street and overlooking the river, yet convenient for Lech’s main facilities.

A short 3-4 minutes’ easy stroll on the private road that runs by the river will take you to the heart of the resort with its attractive shops, bars and restaurants.

Hotel Facilities

  • Classic Austrian decorative features, such as warm wood panelling and beams, combine with more modern bedroom facilities and quality bathrooms to provide guests with a very comfortable stay, completed by the impressive indoor pool and leisure facilities.

  • The attractive fireplace with feature chimney is set between the lounge bar, where tea and coffee is available, and the dining room with its smart red upholstered Stube booths and inviting decor.

  • Free Wi-Fi is available in all the public areas

  • Downstairs is the atmospheric Reindeer bar, providing a warm ambience for convivial pre-dinner apéritifs and canapés and perhaps a nightcap after your meal.

  • The Elisabeth’s appeal is enhanced by its indoor heated swimming pool (8 x 3 metres) and the adjoining sauna, steam room and relaxation area will be a welcome haven for guests. This area is also beautifully decorated with a bright fish mural and a large sky light.

  • Bedrooms are comfortably furnished and are all individually decorated to a high standard
  • Large twin rooms have a sofa bed (suitable for an adult or child), which in many rooms is set slightly apart from the main Austrian twin bed, through an archway into an alcove area.

Lech

Known for its sophisticated skiing and royal connections in the winter, Lech in the summer is a chocolate box village with a river running through and wonderful opportunities for walks and wildlife spotting. There are exclusive boutiques to browse plus cafes and an excellent outdoor swimming pool surrounded by pine forests and lawns.

The unspoilt beauty of the area, with pretty lakes dotted around rugged terrain is unique to the region and is ideal for rambling as well as more adventurous hiking.

The Lech Summer Active Card, FREE to all guests (from 23 June 2018 and valid day after arrival), includes free use of the lifts and walkers' buses, as well as entrance to many attractions including a lovely open-air pool in the forest, themed hiking trails, the kids active club and regular day or evening entertainment.

Walking

A true walker's paradise, Lech's 250km of marked hiking paths range from flower-filled meadows, riverside and woodland paths starting from the village centre, to remote high alpine routes up to beautiful lakes and rugged peaks. There are plenty of rustic mountain alms, as well as designated picnic areas, and a great sense of travel as paths link through local hamlets and over into different valleys.

Getting Around

An excellent network of hikers' buses, 2 chairlifts (Schlegelkopf and Petersboden) and 2 cable-cars (Rufikopf and Oberlech), enable walks to be shortened or lengthened as you wish. All lifts and buses are FREE with the Summer Active Card.

Zug River Stroll- enjoy a relaxing stroll along the impressive river Zug. See local places of interest such as the fishing lake, where the water is so clear you can watch the trout swim and Lech's forest swimming pool. With unique scenery, such as ancient rock formations, forests and glacially-sculpted mountains.

Zursersee - the route begins from the nearby town of Zurs, and ascends up to the scenic lake Zurs. Nestled in a high mountain bowl, you get superb panoramic views over the colorful Lech Valley.

Tannberg Trail - discover the tale of the Arlberg's first settlers, the ancient Walser people. This incredible walk will take you on beautiful riverside paths and up onto the green hills with breathtaking views across the valley.

Lech Tourist Office runs an excellent programme of guided walks (pay locally), including themed flora and fauna walks, dawn hikes, easy peak walks and more demanding full day alpine tours.
