Hua Hin is the oldest beach resort in Thailand. Located on the country's west coast it looks out towards the Gulf of Thailand.
Once a small fishing village, a holiday to Hua Hin still retains its fishing roots with a busy port but has now grown into a much bigger resort.
The town is home to two royal palaces, one of which is still being regularly used by royal guests.

Along Hua Hin's coastline 5km stretch of coastline you'll find soft golden sand that gently shelves into clear seas and is backed by scenic hillside.
The warm water has mild currents and is shallow in many areas making it ideal for swimming for all the family.
Restaurant shacks line the beach, offering quick and delicious snacks and numerous water sports are available including windsurfing and jet skiing.
Eating out in Hua Hin
As you might expect from its coastal location, Hua Hin has fantastic seafood. To sample the best of the delicious local daily catch head to the seafront, in particular the wooden restaurants on stilts around the pier.
As well as traditional Thai dishes the endless cuisine options in Hua Hin include French, Italian, Indian and Mexican. You'll also find many types of dining establishment from roadside sellers to beach huts to fine dining restaurants. Be sure to pay a visit to the town's fantastic night market where locals cook up traditional delicacies freshly for you.
