Situated on the north coast between the resort of Ixia and the airport, a few miles south of Rhodes Town, Trianta is a mix of a traditional Greek village with the coastal area catering for the tourist. The village of Trianta is on the edge of the Ialyssos coastal plain lying at the foot of pine clad hills.

What is the beach like at Trianta?
The beach at Trianta is mainly shingle and pebbles and during the heat of the summer, the Meltemi wind provides a welcome breeze. There are a number of windsurfing stations on the beach and other water sports available in Trianta include sailing and kite surfing. There is a water sports school for both children and adults teaching sailing and windsurfing. There is a selection of snack bars situated along the beach at Trianta and sunbeds and parasols can be hired.

A holiday to Trianta is well placed for excursions around the island of Rhodes with a visit to Old Rhodes Town for sightseeing and shopping and the pretty old town of Lindos with its ancient acropolis. For history lovers, visit the ancient Ialyssos acropolis on Mt Filerimos, the ancient site of Kamiros or the Kalopetra Monastery and the Valley of the butterflies (Petaloudes)
