A frequent bus service connects Ixia to the old town of Rhodes, which is the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe.  This beautiful preserved town is a joy to explore with over 200 streets and lanes which have no name, full of shops, bars and restaurants.  At the harbour in Rhodes town, you can take your pick from various boat trips including a full day visit to Lindos with its ancient acropolis.
