Havana Holidays Holidays

Located on the North coast of Cuba, Havana is a hugely popular tourist destination. Built around the Bay of Havana, a large natural harbour, it is the capital of Cuba and a major port for the island.

From the historical streets of Old Havana to the Malecon waterfront promenade, a Havana holiday has sights for everyone to enjoy.

Sightseeing in Havana

The Tropicana is a world-renowned cabaret and club located on a six-acre garden estate. The club is famous for its impressive shows and past celebrity visitors; it hosted Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra in the 1940s.

The Cannon Ceremony at the San Carlos de La Cabana fortress, situated at the entrance of the bay of Havana takes place daily at 9pm. It is a representation of when the doors of the city were officially closed each night during colonial Spanish rule. The ceremony includes a military parade with soldiers dressed in traditional uniforms of the time.

The historic old town of the city is a chance to catch a glimpse of traditional life and the Spanish influences left by previous inhabitants. Colonial Havana is a Unesco World Heritage Site and has fantastic architecture and scenery to prove its worth. The Revolution Museum and National Capital are popular destinations for holidaymakers.

Culture and history in Havana

Havana is a city brimming with history, which can be witnessed in many forms from its Colonial architecture to the many 1950s cars that line the streets.

A holiday to Havana offers a perfect mix of culture and history with sites such as Revolution Square, the main political area during the revolution and the modern suburb of Vedado sitting side by side comfortably.

Nightlife in Havana

A holiday in Havana isn't complete without sampling the varied nightlife on offer. The city famous for Latin beats and Cuban cocktails offers every opportunity to party the night away under the stars.
